Tray SÄBRU from UGANDA
Hand woven trays from Kikooba community in Uganda fit perfectly into your Nordic style home. Lightweight and made from natural materials, they can be used to store fruits, newspapers, cosmetics, throws in your living room, kitchen or bathroom.
The trays come in 3 sizes:
Large: diameter 44-46cm, hight 10-12cm
Medium: diameter 33-35cm, hight 8-9cm
Small: diameter 27-28cm, hight 5-7cm
Material: raffia
The product is made of natural straw, dyed by hand. Avoid long-time use in humid conditions as it may develop mold. Colours may fade when kept in direct sunlight. If the tray gets dirty, you may use light dish washing liquid for cleaning, let it dry thoroughly afterwards.

Kikooba Primary School is located in Kiboga District, 80 km from the capital Kampala. The region was heavily affected by the bush wars of the 1980s and is now inhabited by extremely vulnerable people. The school was established as a community initiative to offer schooling opportunities to orphans and children from poor families. A group of women engaged in handicrafts are earning extra income for the school. Mondo sent their first volunteer to Kikooba School in 2018. In addition to working with the crafts group, Mondo supports the education of 100 Kikooba children.
