Mondo has been working in Armenia since 2024 to promote gender equality and strong civil society.<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_wp_text]Armenian society is strongly affected by years of conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and the arrival of more than one hundred thousand refugees in 2023. Deeply rooted gender stereotypes outside major urban centers make the situation more difficult for women and limit their rights and participation in society. Armenia has a strong civil society that seeks to reduce social divisions and move towards democratic values and Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Equality through Education<\/h4>\n

Armenian women face significant challenges in achieving their rights. For example, women and girls spend 21.7% of their time on household work, while for men the figure is 4.4%. Gender stereotypes are particularly deeply rooted in the Shirak region.
\nIn cooperation with a local partner, Mondo provided teachers in the region with additional training on human rights, gender equality, bullying, and gender-based violence. Assotsiatsioon Merkuri<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_wp_text]Merkuri<\/a>\u00a0on 2004. aastal loodud MT\u00dc, mille peamine fookus on koduv\u00e4givalla vastane ennetust\u00f6\u00f6 peamiselt maapiirkonnas. Merkuri tegutseb Zugdidi linnas Samegrelo piirkonnas, mis asub vahetult Abhaasia piiri \u00e4\u00e4res.\u00a0Territoriaalsed pinged, sisep\u00f5genike suur hulk ning piirkonna majanduslik madalseis muudavad sealse elanikkonna ning ennek\u00f5ike naised eriti haavatavateks. Mondo alustas organisatsiooniga koost\u00f6\u00f6d 2017. aastal l\u00e4hetades piirkonda EU Aid Volunteers programmi raames vajalikke erialaspetsialiste. 2018. aastal avas Merkuri piirkonna ainsa naiste varjupaiga.[\/vc_wp_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”40848″ img_size=”large” add_caption=”yes”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

World of Tolerance<\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_wp_text]World of Tolerance<\/a>\u00a0asutati 2014. aastal v\u00e4hemusrahvuste hulka kuuluvate noorte aktivistide poolt. Organisatsiooni missioon on aidata kaasa inim\u00f5igustel p\u00f5hineva kultuuriruumi arendamisele ja laienemisele Gruusias ning tolerantse ja mitmekesise \u00fchiskonna \u00fclesehitamine. Peamiselt teevad nad seda noorte suvekoolide kaudu. Mondo alustas World of Tolerance\u2019iga koost\u00f6\u00f6d 2023. aastal korraldades koos Gruusia esimesi arvamusfestivale.[\/vc_wp_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
