The event will bring together policymakers, civil society actors, scientists and experts to examine how responsibility and resilience are distributed in the context of the climate crisis and to explore pathways toward more just and inclusive responses.<\/p>\n<p>Co-organised by Mondo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, the conference is a unique platform in the Baltic region for advancing environmental justice discussions, convening diverse voices and experiences from across the world to strengthen knowledge on environmental justice and to foster cross-border development cooperation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The registration for the conference is now closed. He serves as Strategic Advisor at Environmental Defenders, a regional organisation operating across both landscapes, where his work centers on protecting environmental defenders, conserving biodiversity, and safeguarding indigenous and community land rights threatened by extractive industries, including the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) and critical minerals mining in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Trained in geography at Sorbonne University, she works on the links between climate change, social inequalities, environmental justice and the inclusive public policies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She authored Climate (In)justice for Ghett\u2019Up, a research report based on the voices of more than 1,000 young people from working-class neighborhoods, overseas territories and the Global South. This work explores how climate injustice is experienced through housing, food access, health, mobility and political representation, while highlighting local forms of resistance and everyday ecological knowledge. In 2023, she was appointed Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights and Migration, co-chaired the Media Freedom Coalition, and led Estonia\u2019s UN Human Rights Council campaign.
