The project target group are employees of the provincial health board and health institutions. <!--more-->The project launches vocational training of health workers by establishing a training centre and support to the nurses and midwives&rsquo; school. The project is realised through the Helmand provincial health board and is supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/mondo.org.ee\/www\/?page_id=182&amp;lang=en\">Estonian health expert<\/a> in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">As a main project outcome NGO Mondo sees launch of the system of vocational training for health workers. Other project objectives include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">establishment of the Helmand province vocational training centre for health workers and its material support;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">equipping of nurses and midwives&acute; school of Helmand province with illustrative aids of teaching;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">rising efficiency of the Estonian development cooperation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">In the framework of the project two high healthcare officials of Helmand province will visit Estonia to learn from the Estonian experience of establishing healthcare system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The project will last until August 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The project is financed from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.ee\/eng\/kat_178\/\">development cooperation and humanitarian aid fund<\/a> of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoBodyText\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Project manager &ndash; Jaak Talving, <\/span><span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><a href=\"mailto:jaak%2Etalving%40mondo%2Eorg%2Eee\">jaak&#46;talving&#64;mondo&#46;org&#46;ee<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project aim is to launch vocational training of health workers in Helmand Province of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
