TRAY NATURAL FROM UGANDA<\/h1>\n

Hand woven trays from Kikooba community in Uganda fit perfectly into your Nordic style home. Lightweight and made from natural materials, they can be used to store fruits, newspapers, cosmetics, throws in your living room,\u00a0kitchen\u00a0or bathroom.<\/h4>\n

The trays come in 3 sizes:<\/p>\n

Large: diameter 44-46 cm, height 10-13 cm<\/p>\n

Medium: diameter 33-36 cm, height 8-11 cm<\/p>\n

Small: diameter 26-28 cm, height 5-7 cm<\/p>\n

Material: raffia<\/p>\n

The product is made of natural straw. Avoid long-time use in humid conditions. Should the basket loose its shape, hydrate it lightly, and restore its initial form. Allow it to dry in a well-ventilated room. Colors may fade in contact with direct sunlight. The region was heavily affected by the bush wars of the 1980s and is now inhabited by extremely vulnerable people. The school was established as a community initiative to offer schooling opportunities to orphans and children from poor families. A group of women engaged in handicrafts are earning extra income for the school. However, their products require development and marketing. Mondo sent their first volunteer to Kikooba School in 2018.
