BRIDGE – volunteers for development
Project period: December 2024 – December 2026
Project donor: European Education and Culture Executive Agency (ECEA)
Project partners: ADICE, CODA, GDCA, UPA, CIVS
Project budget: 304 704€ (total budget: 649 380€)
The BRIDGE project (Building Resilience, Innovation, Development, and Gender Equality) promotes the deployment of 23 European volunteers to collaborate with partners from nine countries—Albania, Armenia, Estonia, France, Georgia, Ghana, Kenya, Nepal, and Uganda. It targets empowerment and skills development for vulnerable communities, especially women, and strengthens digital literacy and environmental responsibility. Mondo will collaborate with partners in France, Georgia, Ghana, Kenya and Uganda.
With complementary activities, the project promotes digital literacy workshops, emphasising
environmental responsibility and initiatives, as well as skills development among all participants. Beyond deployments, the project aims to connect partners and volunteers by online conferences and in-the-field actions with benefit to local communities, with focus on women groups. By nurturing intercultural understanding and promoting European values, BRIDGE strengthens its impact and sustainability, contributing to innovative actions and societal development.
Through this action, all engaged parties will benefit from the activities. Local communities and hosting organisations by reinforcing their cooperation and innovating their actions; the volunteers by gaining the opportunity for personal growth and development of transversal skills, with the objective to open up to the cultural diversity and root their civic engagement.
This project is funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps programme and managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
