Global education provides knowledge about how global issues affect the everyday lives of individuals, communities, and societies, and how each of us can impact the world. In our understanding, global education encompasses citizenship education, peace education, human rights education, environmental education, and sustainable development education. Mondo works with global education in Estonia through Maailmakool

The Co-Globe project aims to create inclusive, socially just educational environments by fostering a sense of global belonging among educators and students. It focuses on global responsibility, sustainability, inclusion, and equality, using participatory teaching methods.

Co-Globe works in schools across Estonia, Finland, Portugal, and Romania, offering two main programs: one for beginners and a more advanced one for mentors. It also develops educational materials and organizes events at local, national, and European levels.

The project expects to train 32 teachers, boosting their confidence and knowledge in global education and sustainable development. It also creates opportunities for students to engage in collaborative learning and problem-solving, while building a network of educators and students committed to global education.

The project is funded by the European Union.
