PROJECTS
Game On For Climate!
Project period: January 2025 – April 2026
Project donor: Erasmus+ (Eesti Riiklik Agentuur)
Project partners: Climate Call (Klimatkoll Guldheden AB, Sweden), Green Liberty Latvia (Zaļā brīvība)
Project budget: 60 000 €
Climate change poses urgent challenges for the Baltic Sea region, but education systems in Estonia and Latvia are not fully equipped to address them. While students are aware of climate issues, they often feel disconnected from solutions, and teachers lack the training and resources to provide effective climate education. This project aims to bridge these gaps by offering innovative tools, training, and interactive learning methods like gamification and project-based learning.
This project makes climate education more engaging through gamification and hands-on learning. In Estonia and Latvia, students will take part in educational game creation competitions and global education activities in their schools. Teachers will receive training to integrate these interactive methods into their classrooms. The project also promotes civic action through local initiatives and connects young people and educators in Estonia, Latvia, and Sweden to exchange ideas and solutions.
With this project over 1,500 students will deepen their understanding of climate issues, 100+ teachers will gain new skills, at least 15 climate-focused games and workshops will be developed, and young activists and schools will form lasting cross-border partnerships.
