PROJECTS

Humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Project period: November 2025 – February 2026

Project donors: Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Secours Populaire Français (SPF)

Project partners: ADVS

Project budget: 40 000 €

The earthquake and aftershocks that struck Afghanistan in September 2025 claimed more than two thousand lives and destroyed entire villages. In a country where nearly half of the population already requires humanitarian assistance, the earthquake has left hundreds of thousands more people in need of shelter, clean drinking water, food, and medical care.

The aim of the project is to provide rapid and targeted assistance to people most affected by the disaster and in urgent need of shelter, food, psychosocial support, and protection. The planned activities are based on local needs assessments and UN humanitarian data, and are directed to areas where assistance is most urgently needed and where it can directly help save lives.
