PROJECTS
Mitigation of the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon
Project period: October 2024 – December 2024
Project donor: Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Project partners: DPNA, Red Oak
Project budget: 83 358 €
The aim of the project is to alleviate the situation of people affected by the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon by helping them first meet their basic needs and, in the longer term, ensuring them dignified living conditions. To achieve this, we are distributing food, hygiene, and winter kits to internally displaced families, and providing psychological support. As part of the project, special aid packages will be distributed to 565 families (around 2092 individuals), and psychological first aid and community-based mental health support sessions will be provided to 600 children and adults. In selecting direct beneficiaries, emphasis is placed on female-headed households; families with elderly members; households with individuals with special needs; and families with multiple children. The project is being implemented in cooperation with two local partners: DPNA, operating in the Saida and Jezzine areas, and Red Oak, focusing on the Baaloul and Baakline areas. Thanks to the project, the well-being of approximately 2122 internally displaced persons and host family members will improve.
