PROJECTS
Educational and psychological support for Ukrainian students and teachers
Project period: April 2026 – December 2026
Project donor: Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Project partners: ZNOVU
Project budget: 165 927 €
Mondo helps improve the academic performance, social skills, and mental well-being of Ukrainian students directly affected by the war, and strengthen teachers’ capacity to continue working in a crisis context. Long-term online learning, frequent air raid alarms, and limited contact with peers have created significant learning gaps for students, alongside an increase in mental health issues. Teachers, in turn, suffer from burnout, psychological stress, and unstable working conditions, often working long days in two shifts.
Together with a partner organisation, Mondo offers online tutoring to students to help reduce learning gaps and increase their exam readiness. Psychological support programs help boost students’ emotional resilience, while training camps for teachers strengthen their professional and psychological skills to better support their students and themselves.
These activities address essential humanitarian needs and contribute directly to strengthening the coping capacity of the most vulnerable people affected by the war in Ukraine.
The project’s full title is “Comprehensive Educational and Psychological Support for Students and Psychological Support to Educators Affected by the War”.
