Global Education Teachers Club

Project period: December 2022 – June 2025

Project donor: European Union (Erasmus+ programme)

Project partners: Humanitas, ARPOK, Anthropolis

Mondo Maailmakool supports schools, teachers, youth workers and young people in addressing global issues through global education. Global education shares knowledge about how global issues affect the daily lives of individuals, communities, and societies, and how each of us can impact the world. It is a learning process that allows us to move from awareness of problems to personal responsibility and informed action, and from there to international cooperation and sustainable human development.

The goal of this project is to introduce global education and its methods to a wider community of teachers. In the partner countries Estonia, Slovenia, Hungary and the Czech Republic, global education study circles are launched, which offer teachers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with both the theoretical foundations and practical methods of global education during regular meetings.

In 2018, the Global Education Teachers Clubs format brought the project’s lead partner, the Slovenian organisation Humanitas, the GENE (Global Education Network Europe) innovation award (GENE Global Education Innovation Award).

During the project, a collection of innovative global education methods, which partner organisations have tested and adopted from study circles, will be published.
