There are many regions in the world where the impact of climate change has already reached a critical threshold. One of Mondo’s focuses is to share knowledge in Estonia through global education on how global issues affect our daily lives here, and how each one of us can act towards promoting a sustainable world.

Through the activities of the NoPlanetB project, Mondo empowers small and medium-sized organisations in Estonia and encourages them to address global challenges arising from climate change at the local level. The goal is to involve primarily young people aged 15 to 35 and individuals with low awareness and interest in environmental and climate issues.

In four years, Mondo will organise open calls for funding where citizen organisations can apply for support for their innovative, science-based models. This will add opportunities for organisations, that don’t have direct access to European Union funding. We encourage cooperation between organisations and local governments, as well as youth organisations in submitting their ideas for the funding calls.

Through the project “NoPlanetB: Bridging science and society to foster inclusive transition strategies”, we aim to increase awareness of the climate crisis among the Estonian population and support their positive attitude towards European Union and Estonian development cooperation activities in addressing climate change.
