Kontaktid välisriikidekoolidega on hea viis õppida ajalugu ja ühiskonnaõpetust. Uus riiklik õppekava näeb ette õppimise viimise ka klassiruumist välja, aga lisarahastust sellega koolidele ei kaasne. „Seetõttu tuleb kasutada võimalusi, mis õppimiskogemust laiendavad, kuid lisaraha ei nõua,” selgitas Mare Oja Eesti ajaloo- ja ühiskonnaõpetajate seltsist. Suhtlemine teiste riikide õpilastega interneti abil on üks selline võimalus.
